On 4th May, over 40 environmentally-conscious citizens in Nagpur took part in a silent protest against the deforestation of Hasdeo forests in Chhattisgarh, where more than 1.70 lakh trees are endangered due to ongoing coal mining operations.
The protest—organized under the Kalpataru campaign—was supported by Leaders Club Nagpur, alongside NGOs like Paryavaran Mitra, Vegan Outreach, and Jivam Foundation. Demonstrators voiced serious concerns about climate change, biodiversity loss, and environmental degradation, highlighting the forests' critical role in preserving the planet’s ecological balance.
The event powerfully underlined the collective urgency to protect natural resources for future generations.
