Over 40 citizens, including members of the Leaders Club and other NGOs, actively participated in a nationwide protest at Ajni-Vann on Wednesday to advocate for the protection of the Hasdeo Forests in Chhattisgarh. The protest spotlighted the alarming threat to over 4.5 lakh trees spread across 6,000 acres, endangered by proposed coal mining operations allotted to the Adani Group.
Participants voiced concerns about deforestation, climate change, and biodiversity loss, calling for an immediate halt to unsustainable practices that risk accelerating the climate crisis.
This demonstration marks the Leaders Club’s continued commitment to environmental preservation and civic activism.
